Hello!
I want to change title and questions fonts in news_paper template (incorrect slovenian characters). But whatever I do, nothing changes. Obviously fonts type in news_paper.css is ignored. Actually firebug shows that I did not change anything in news_paper.css (which is not true). Any idea? surveys.humanu.center/index.php/685345?lang=sl

Did you create a copy of the original template? You should never work directly on the shipped ones.

Thank you for your response.
At the beginning, I worked with a copy. Since there was no the result I changed original news_papers.css (../templates/news_paper/css) in lines 1191, 6768 to "font-family: sans-serif". I can make a clean installation immediately , if that could help.

I found out that web page using TMP folder for template display.
In any case, I decided that I will use the default template, where everything works well.

In version 2.5, the template CSS and JavaScript assets are loaded into to the /tmp directory. To see any changes made to the template files, you will need to either:

- Delete all folders in /tmp.
- In application/config/config.php, set debug to 1. This will cause all asset to be loaded directly from the template instead of from /tmp.

Cheers,

No, never delete tmp/runtime : it's needed to show a page :)

./tmp/assets/* can be deleted :).

Altrernatve solution top force upfdate of assets url :
- delete or upload a file :

But the last 2.50 version must fix this issue i think.

Why do we have a mandatory folder in /tmp??? Isn't the definition of a tmp folder "Temporary"?

It's more Yii bug i think.

Or maybe we choose a bad directory for runtime

I don't this anyway. Why does a template recite in the /tmp/ folder? It is already difficult enough to explain why the modified templates are in upload rather than template...

Yes, but assets system have good reason too.

No need to ask your clinet to update browser cache : assets directory name use mtime .

And more : in fact all Yii files can be unaccessible via www, for example : you can use same extension for different website.

This is a pretty good reason. Should save us some threads about changing stuff in the template but nothing is happening... ;-)
