Problem embedding audio was created by uba
Hi, I'd like my survey participants to listen to a few mp3 audio clips and then answer questions about them. I've followed the instructions listed here: manual.limesurvey.org/Workarounds:_Quest...g_audio_in_questions

However when I did this, the player disappeared, replaced by a black rectangular box, as you can see here:

The audio itself does play, but the controller is gone. Would appreciate your help!

UPDATE: I'm now using this code:

<audio controls style="width: 185px;"> <source src="...babysounds2.mp3" type="audio/mp3"> </audio>

with the following result

I don't like the squashed look of the player, and I'm not sure if I'll run into browser-related issues with this code, but this is what I'll use unless there is a better solution.

Should work fine as long as the browser supports HTML5.

You should be able to increase the size of the answer field in the advanced setting.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

The <audio> tag is not supported by IE8 and below. If you want a "stylable" player - jplayer.org/ .
