Hi everyone

Is it possible to know somehow whether a participant looked at the dropdown list of a question, if the question is not mandatory?

It would be important for us to know whether they actually looked at the list or just continued straight away without answering the question.

Thanks and cheers

Debi

The only thing I can think of is to have a hidden radio question on the same page and use JavaScript to click the radio when the drop-down is clicked on. However, this wouldn't help you if respondents are using the tab key to navigate the survey.

Cheers,

Why not making it mandatory and offer a "no answer" option?

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
