At the moment I'm designing a survey with Limesurvey.
Respondens will get the link to the survey via mail. That will be round about 10.000 people.
My question is now: What is the data capacity of Limesurvey.
Could there be any problem, wenn let's say 1000 people in total answer the questionaire?
In order to prevent, that to many people click at the surveylink at the same time and the server breaks down, we will send the invitation emails as packages of about 100 every 10 minutes?
Do you think this is necessary/useful?
It's not a LimeSurvey issue : it's a server issue ... LimeSUrvey tell at your server : Send email too/send email too/send email too // etc ....
If your server can send 10.000.000 mail by minute, then LimeSurvey can send 10.000.000 mail by minute.
Pay attention to "Spamming" issue in some SMTP server : some server block more than one email by second from one another server.
