randomly show groups of question was created by lepsid
Hello!
I'm wondering is it possible for lime to do this.

I have six groups of questions or blocks: A, B, C, D, E, F
What I want is to design the survey in a way that group A is always shown as a fist one, and group F as last, but the order of groups B, C, D and E should be randomized.

For example. When respondent 1 enter the survey, the groups order should be like this: A - D -B - C- E- F
And when the respondent 2 enter the survey, the groups order might be: A - F - B -D -C -F

Can I do it in lime, and if so, can someone give me an example how to do it.

Thank you...

Have a look at "Question group randomization" - docs.limesurvey.org/Creating+a+question+..._group_randomization

thank you for your answer. But, what kind of string do I need to enter in the Randomization group field?

Whatever string you want. It just has to be same for all groups in your randomization group, in your example B,C,D,E (by the way there is an error in your example).

thank you. Yes there is a mistake in my example. :)

Is there any example of how to set up this to work correctly. I am using limesurvey 2.0

I have some trouble with my localhost at the moment. Seems like something is blocking it, so I can't have a look.

But at the bottom of the group page, there is a field called something like "Randomization Group".

For the group of groups that that should be randomized among each other (B,C,D,E) you put for example "RG1" in each of these groups.

Then Limesurvey will randomize the positions of these groups among each other. As far as I know, this would even work if they are not consecutive, e.g you have questions a,b,c,d and want to randomize b and d, but a always be on the 1st position and c always on the third, you just give b and d the same name for the randomiation group and it should work. Just like for the randomization group for questions.
