How to edit what is in braces, eg {NAVIGATOR}?

Specifically I want to edit this, but I think I will serve for all the labels of this type
<div class="survey-navigator">{NAVIGATOR}</div>

The text can be changed by editing the translation file: This text string can be changed by editing the translation .

At Limesurvey 2 it should also be possible to change/edit/remove the <</>>.

Well, the answer depends on the version you are using. There is also a replacement.php file at other versions.

Generally, I don't recommend to change the source code.

You can easily re-name the buttons with some lines of Javascript to overwrite the button label.
There should be some examples here at the forum.

Add the following to the end of template.js and change the text as required:
$(document).ready(function() {
	if($('#movenextbtn').length > 0) {
		$('#movenextbtn').attr('value', 'New Next');
	}
	if($('#moveprevbtn').length > 0) {
		$('#moveprevbtn').attr('value', 'New Previous');
	}
});

Cheers,

Tony, what do we need the length check for? To be sure the element exists?

Yep.

But jquery do the job itself, then you're right: not needed.

Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.
I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member, professional service on demand (or search sondages pro).
Last Edit: 4 years 4 months ago by DenisChenu. Reason: PS: jquery do the job
