itsme created the topic: about po and mo (complication)
Hello guys, after reading a lot and mixing things up and down, I found that po and mo things are being created in the same place in IT enviornment just to irritate the users and make them pull their hairs :)
well, i have got the latest po and mo files from the site as instructed in docs, now i changed some translations using poEDIT and saved the files, now i replaced the origianl po and mo that are located on the server online using ftp but nothing changed, well, to be hosest, i didn't make the last step which is to update the survey files, is that mean that i have to update all the survey files then reupload them to the server online via ftp once again!?!? this will take forever, many things were changed and many templates were changed how i can download all php files and get this done then reupload them again? what if i want to change one more string or translation, should i do the same issue for each word when changed in language???

don't you have better or easier idea to do this? do you have information more in deep to go into translation issue? i just need to customze the en language to make it suitable as "assess ment" stuff more than a survey style this time, so i will need to change some buttons labels and strings in the translation of limesurvey,,

kindly advise or put me into the right track

Well, changing some text strings by editing the translation isn't that complicated:

1. Download program "poedit"
2. Download the latest .po file of the language you want to edit.
3. Open the .po file using poedit
4. Save the changes
5. Upload the generated .mo file to your server.

yes I noticed the changes after server level restart services all over, before that seemed to be cached or something, thanks dear, appreciated.

You just need to clear the browser cache, so that no information is taken from cache but loaded from the updated file.
