Linking two items in multiple options

5 years 1 week ago #74193 by clairem
I'm trying to set up a multiple options question regarding social networks. One of the questions I've piloted is tripping people up. Basically, there's a bit of a hierarchy in the answers, so if you tick one of the boxes, it automatically means that it would be correct to tick another box, I just can't figure out a way to do that automatically in Limesurvey.

If it makes more sense this way, one of the check boxes would represent a group of people, another check box would represent one of the members (I know it's not great design, but it ends up making more sense this way). If a user clicks on the group, that automatically includes the individual, so I want that check box automatically filled. Is is possible?

To automatically check checkbox B if checkbox A was ticked, you have to code some customized Javascript.
Have a look at manual -> workarounds ->JavaScript.
