About images and PDF export

Hello LS Community,

I am trying to export my survey results to a PDF file. However, I couldn't manage to include images in the PDF file. The images are working in HTML view. "Show graphs" option is selected, of course :)

Any help on this issue will be appreciated.

Did you tick the "create graphs" option?

Which Limesurvey version do you use? it works fine here at the latest 1.91 version.

Of course :) Ticked "Create Graphs" on the same screen, accessed using the pie chart icon on the top. On that screen, I can choose HTML, PDF or Excel.

I am using the latest version available. I upgrade using the admin panel, as the upgrade released.

Yes, it creates graphs when HTML is selected.

I am thinking that it can be server issue. Do you have any idea about the PDF conversion process of LimeSurvey? What libraries are needed on server side, the process or the files that makes the conversion?

Does it create the PDF without images?

Check the server's error log, are there any errors reported when trying to export charts as PDF?

It creates PDF in any cases, but without images. It is some kind of silly but, I have set the font variable in config.php to VeraMono.ttf which I have downloaded from a free font website and everything is worked. I have tried this time on a Windows computer and using Adobe Reader to view PDF files. My previous trials were on a Ubuntu machine using its default PDF viewer.

I am going to try vera.ttf, distributed with LimeSurvey package, and test it again, on Windows and Ubuntu.

Please also switch on debug mode by adding the following line to your config.php file:
$debug = '1';

Are there any additional errors reported on top of the page?

Thank you for your assistance Mazi. I have managed to show the graphs on PDFs. The problem is that I have to define $chartfontfile variable. If it is not defined, PDF conversion seems to be corrupted and doesn't show graphs, especially readers different than Adobe. Sounds silly, but it works :)

Thanks :)

If you can easily reproduce the problem, please open a ticket at our Bugtracker so that at least a meaningful error message will be implemented.

Hello,

I am sorry for late reply. Somebody else, I want to call them "the guys", at the server side has done some configuration changes. The changes also stopped some other scripts hosted on the server. I have tracked all of them and made the server guys reverted back. Now it works like a charm.

I am sorry for the mess in this topic. I should have looked carefully to our server configuration before starting a new topic. I think there is not need to report this as a bug.

Thank you for all your support.
