Hello!!

I have a Survey which should be sent around to 3000 people, my question is:

¿there are a limit of people to add on a survey?

¿Could LimeSurvey support this survey to 3000 people?

Thank you very much!

There is no limit to the number of responses allowed for a survey.

There is some kind of limit imposed by the database. But I guess you won't reach the maximum number of lines available for a MySQL table.

However, there could be another limiting factor, your webserver. If you have a dedicated server or a V-Server and not all 3000 try to access at the very same time, you should be fine.

On a shared hosting account you might run into trouble though, when there are a lot of surveys filled in at the same time.

Have a look at the manual! It is a really valuable source for information. Here some helpful links:

I will consider these aspects, the survey will run on a intranet (I think that the server is shared with other aplications), To prevent the access problems at the same time, a strategy can be send the survey by groups of 500 persons for day.

Thank you very much for the help.

Well, on the intranet you probably have one bottle neck less already, which is the internet connection to the server.

It makes sense to send out the invitation in blocks. 500 per day is sure a good idea, but I would also send in smaller blocks throughout the day, to avoid many concurrent accesses directly after you have sent the invitation (the nosy ones... ;-) )

3000 users is no problem at all, especially when running the survey at the intranet.

if you are planning to send email invitations and those emails are send over a remote email server, take care that you don't run into any limits regarding a maximum numbers of emails per day/hour allowed by your provider.
But I guess you use an internal email server anyway?!
