Turning confirmation message off

More
5 years 2 months ago #68260 by PaulIv
Hello everybody,

I have currently a token protected survey, and an email with confirmation of completion is delivered by default to participant after he/she completes the survey. Is it possible to turn this feature off? If yes, how can I do this?

Thank you,

Paul

Hello,

Remove all content from Email templates/Confirmation for the survey.
If this is empty, LS don't send confirmation message.

:).

Yes, that is the solution that should work.

@Shnoulle: I don't think this is a good solution. What do you think about having a setting for this instead?
If you agree, can you open a ticket at the bugtracker?

I agree with Mazi.

Maybe a "No confirmation mail" checkbox in the "Confirmation" tab of the email templates that displays a message when selected.

I think the survey settings (either the "tokens" or the "notification" tab is the better choice. We can stil show a warning message at the email templates screen if this is disabled.

Any volunteers to create a ticket or maybe directly implement this for version 2.0 alpha?

Thanks a lot for the answers, it seems another way to cancel the confirmation letter is to set the "uses left" token parameter to a number greater than 1. It seems the message is sent only after last available use. Please correct me If I'm wrong.

That may work but I don't believe the survey is marked as completed until "uses left" = 0.

It's probably easier to rmove all content from the template fields for now.

Tony, I love you. You don't just report the problem, you even added a patch right away. Great!
