Track user over several surveys

Hello, I have to do a project where the user has to participate in several surveys with a timing scheluder.

My problem is how to give a user only one token (or user and password) to join all the surveys. The token system in LimeSurvey is "per survey", one survey one table of tokens.

Is there a way to propagate tokens with the same email or something like that?

Thanks

Hello,

You can export/import the survey table with the token. When importing, the token are kept.

You can easily export the token data from survey A to survey B / C / D using export/import.

BTW: The next Limesurvey 2.0 version will offer a "Central Participant Database" feature for such cases, see docs.limesurvey.org/Central+participants...ase+%28User+panel%29

I'm attempting a somewhat more elaborate scheme. Doing it however open the door to a richer User Intelligence. This involves:

1. Creating a User Profile Survey. Full of demographics, contact info, etc.

2. Design subsequent surveys to include combination of fields that would be unique from the User Profile Survey e.g., email address, first name, last 5 digits of SSN.

3. User complete User Profile, then the subsequent (main) surveys.

4. During analysis, I SQL join the User Profile info to other surveys based on the combination of fields.

Not another blessing of this approach is, Users can enter more than one profile when they undergo changes e.g., marital status, income, etc. This preserves demographic integrity such that the joins during analysis factor in the survey response and the most recent user profile prior to taking the other surveys.

This is not perfect, but absent a real demographic capability, it works.

I made something like this, but i use an external script,

With your token , you get the list of your survey, if you don't fill the first survey, then you get it directly.

After you came back to the list, the script update each token table with good attribute take from the first survey and list all other survey.

It work :)
