How to do conditionals with / skip groups

Hello,

I would like to be able to control which groups are displayed according to answers of previous questions. Does anyone know how this might be possible?

I have a group with a list of companies, asking if people have accounts with these companies in a Yes/No question. Following this are a number groups with questions about only one company in each group. I would like to be able to show people only the groups for the companies that they have answered "Yes" about.

At the moment I have a work around, where I use conditionals to hide the questions in a group relating to a company that someone has said "No" about, and put up a text display saying please click Next... but that means people may have to be shown many pages they should not need to see, and click Next on them.

Any suggestions appreciated.

p.s. We've found Limesurvey immensely useful, and the update from 1.8 to 1.9 was fantastic! Many thanks to everyone who have contributed to it.

You are doing it already the right way. And when there is no question from the group to be displayed, I think the group should be skipped completely. I have read something on the forum about this problem. I think it had to do with the group description. Do you have a group description?

I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member. I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time. No support via private message.

To skip the entire group, you must copy the initial skip condition to all questions. Have a look at " Chained conditionss "

Since Limesurvey uses branching and not jumping, copying the condition to all following questions is the best approach.
