Just wondering if the following is possible;

I need 200 completes
n=100 for product 1
n=100 for product 2

Randomly a respondent gets questions for product 1 or product 2.

At some point during field I can have 60 completes for product 1 and 100 for product 2.
If I would built in a quota those repsondents will be terminate if they qualify for product 2.
However I would like them to route them to product 1.

Is there a way to check how many completes I have in the survey for a quota and decide a different action rahter then to terminate?

I think you will need to fire a remote PHP script to query the database and find the number of product completes and then set a hidden question that could be used for conditions on the product questions.

I'm not a PHP expert so can't help with the details of that script but here's an example of how to fire a remote PHP script - www.limesurvey.org/en/forum/can-i-do-thi...on-of-a-survey#55975 .

thanks I will check if I can do something with this.
in the meantime i was thinking perhaps it can done with assesments?

docs.limesurvey.org/Assessments&structur...tions+for+LimeSurvey

and then to use {assessment_CURRENT_TOTAL}

any idea if that can work?

There is no way to access information about previously submitted surveys with assessments. It is just a "scoring" tool for the current respondent.

Another approach would be to have a PHP script which is called before the survey. It reads out the number of completed answers for product 1 and product 2 and then redirects the user to the survey and passes a dynamic parameter like "p1/p2" into a hidden question. You can then use conditions on that hidden question so that the previously determined product data is shown.
You can ping me if you need any advanced (paid) support for this.
