Sending invitation: how may I avoid this?

5 years 6 months ago #64345 by Usapuka
Hi,

Please I need your help: I don't understand what happened when I sent 114 invitations today.

I selected the 114 entries and sent invitations: 50 invitations were sent, I received a warning message informing that I have more invitations for sending, I click send and another 50 invitations were sent, I received another warning message, I click send and the remaining 14 invitations were sent.

The problem is that the first person of the list received his invitation and the invitation of the rest of the list (50 invitations), the second 49 (his invitation + the rest of the list), etc.

The browser I am using is Chrome.

What is wrong? How can I avoid this problem?

Thanks and regards,
Gabriel

Hmmm, the limit of 50 per click is normal (I think you could change that somewhere).

However, that only the first gets the mail is strange. How do you send emails? SMTP, PHP? I assume there is some kind of limit set by your server provider.

I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member. I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time. No support via private message.

I think this problem has been fixed in the very latest build. From the release notes:-

-Fixed issue #5381: Multiple invitations sent

I checked the bug and it sounds exactly like your problem.

Thank you paulfiner and holch for your answers,

I don't have any problem with the limit of 50, the problem is the "Multiple invitations sent": a person is receiving his invitation and the invitation of the persons that follows him alphabetically in the list.

I used Version 1.91+ Build 10629 and PHP (default) as email method.

I´ll do the update.

Which is the best method for sending the invitations?

Cheers
Gabriel
