# Do I use assessment and how or some other method

5 years 7 months ago #61441 by vlhannu
I have created a short quiz with 10 questions. Each questions have six answers and each answer equals one point. Question 1 Answer A + Question 2 Answer B + Question 3 Answer C + ...Question 10 Answer D = One result. Question 1 Answer B + Question 2 Answer C +... Question 10 Answer E = Second result. There are a total of six results which end up being ranked by the number of answers for each result.

How do I get the results and email/display to the individual taking the quiz as well as me (the admin). I am not a programmer and am using the GUI.

Thank you for your help on this.

We don't have a GUI planned for it at the moment, but this new feature we're developing will let you create equations to compute your desired results and store them in the table of responses(so that you could email/display those results.

Thank you. When will the new feature be available and will you have instructions on how to email/display the results. I'm not a programmer.

Unless work continues to get in the way , I expect to be done in a couple of weeks. We're not sure yet when it will be incorporated into a stable LimeSurvey release, however.

You don't need to be a programmer for this feature. Say your variables are named q1-q10, and say your answer codes are A-E, you'd have results equations like these two

result1 = sum(q1=='A',q2=='B',q3=='C',...,q10=='D')
result2 = sum(q1=='B',q2=='C',...,q10=='E')

Then, your displayed or emailed report would be something like:

Hi, {TOKEN:FIRSTNAME}, your scores were {result1} and {result2}

Cool! Let me know if you would like help testing and I hope it is incorporated and released soon after you complete it. Having this feature would make a huge difference in my results delivery. I use my quiz with prospective clients as a give away.
