3 Point Array

I only see Array question of 5 or 10 point (plus options, text, dual etc.) - but I want a simple 3-point Array, not 5 or 10. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible. There is the simple "Array" question type. Actually the 5 point and the 10 point array are just a predefined array question.

With the normal array question type you can create your own custom scales (2point, 3point, 7point, etc.).

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately I see no simple 'Array' type question, only with options:
Array (10 point choice)
Array (5 point choice)
Array (Flexible Labels) dual scale
Array (Increase, Same, Decrease)
Array (Multi Flexible) (Numbers)
Array (Multi Flexible) (Text)
Array (Yes/No/Uncertain)
Array (flexible labels)
Array (flexible labels) by column

so which of these is the 'Simple Array'? I've tried "Array (flexible labels)" but that gives me a 3x3 grid of radio buttons to select from!?

Hmmm, sounds like you are using an old version of Limesurvey.

It should be the Array (flexible label) then. You can create your own lable (that's why it is called flexible).

In the newer versions it is just called "Array".

I currently can't recall how the array was created before. Because now you have a pretty easy way to create the horizontal scale plus the vertical "subquestions" as it is called in Limesurvey.

Sorry, but I don't have an old version installed. So I can't really check how it is done.

I think you need to create a custom label set first (on the highest navigation level) and then apply it to your array question.

"Array (flexible label)" is the question type I was referring to. When following the second link I posted, there is a step by step instruction on how to set this up. Instead of "xecellent ... poor" just use numbers.

Many thanks for your help - Array (Flexible Labels) seems to fit the bill.
