differentiation of URLs for different categories of respondents was created by moisespaivaspi
Good afternoon everyone.
The client I'm doing the survey for wants to generate differentiated URLs for different categories of respondents.
Does Limesurvey allow to do this functionality?
Best regards,
Moisés Paiva

Probably only with different surveys. But what would be the real purpose except for "cosmetic" reasons? If there are non, you could just create redirects via .htaccess to the same survey.

Well, I do not think it's very logical what they asked me to do, but unfortunately they want to have the same URLs but for the same survey because they want to keep all the data in the same database.
How can I generate these new url's with htacess?
Thanks a lot for the help.

You can use any URL on your server and redirect it to another URL via .htaccess. How to do this exactly should be easy to find via Google:
bfy.tw/G78L
bfy.tw/G78L

also....
You could just set to URL to reach your server (by DNS config with your registrar)
Then, the survey could be accessed via the two urls...
And you could send the invitations with the wanted url.

So why are htaccess and URL rewriting needed?
The meaning of the word "stable" for users

A URL GET parameter with group=1... at the end of the URL is a differentiated URL.moisespaivaspi wrote: differentiated URLs for different categories of respondents.

Of course this is an option. As we do not know WHY they want difereciated URLs, we can only guess.
And I guessed, they want probably something like a different domain or more human readable like: www.oursurvey.com/butchers , www.oursurvey.com/bakers , www.oursurvey.com/whateveryouare .
