Email templates: where are they? was created by 412837
Hi,

I see I can modify email templates on each survey. I was planning on setting those templates up for all surveys to come, and maybe making little adjustments (if required) before sending a particular survey.

6 templates x 3 supported languages makes 18 templates to edit. surely there must be a way to configure the templates for all surveys, right?

How is this supposed to work?

Hi, it is supposed to work exactly as you said.
You do it survey and language specific.

1. Well, if you say, you want to create templates for all upcoming surveys, you surely will do this in a text editor. And have these templates stored locally.
The copying and pasting into the surveys is IMHO not too time consuming compared with your "little adjustments".

2. Next is: create new translation files. The default template texts are stored there.

3. Third option is to update the database:

You create a dummy survey with your adjusted templates.
These templates are stored in "[prefix]_surveys_languagesettings".
After creating your new survey which contains the default templates, just copy the templates from the dummy survey to your new survey by SQL for each language.

These are my ideas about that.
