timings and their mathematical unit was created by FranzGerbig
Hi guys,

1. what's the unit (ms or s) the timings are stored in (group-by-group, but mostly one question per page)?
It seems quite obvious that it has to be seconds, but ... I just want to be sure it's not milliseconds.
If I sum them all up in one "global" variable, the range is 6.09 to 44133.3.

2. Do you have any idea the question timings are not stored (every single one is missing in the data though activated)?

Thank you
bilo

OK, first issue (1.) solved - it has to be seconds then:

case 1
timing: 21.01
startdate: 2016-11-07 13:26:03
datestamp: 2016-11-07 13:26:24

case 2
timing: 12.4
startdate: 2016-10-28 20:38:19
datestamp: 2016-10-28 20:38:31

Regarding 2: I assume you are using the "all in one" mode?

maybe I've put misunderstandable - the variables for each and every question timing do exist in the data but don't have any valid values, just missing.

You have 3 modes to show your survey:
1. All in one - all questions are on one page
2. Group by group - All questions of a question group are shown on one page
3. Question by question - one page per question

In the All in One mode Limesurvey cannot save timings for the questions, because the timings are only saved on submit. So if you submit all questions at the same time, there is no way to save it. Similar in Group by Group mode.

Another possibility for the timings not being saved is the that the survey is set to annonymous, but I think this can't be your case, because then it should not show the start and end timing of the survey either.

yeah, it's a mix: group-by-group, but mostly one question per page.
Anyway, what you write sounds quite as if it was the reason in this case.
thx a lot

Well, it is still group by group. There should be timings per group though and if there is only one question per group, then it is the same as for the question.
