using 2.50+ Build 160506
the default behaviour is for limesurvey to give one randomly. in our usecase, the id could help categorise the survey and better archive it for future search

I'm not sure if there is a possibility of setting own number when creating survey but you can set it when you copy a survey. This may be a workaround.

As Elisa stated you can change id when copying survey.

Another way (which we used in the old days) is to export the survey and change the survey ID in the file with a texteditor.

i've noticed that but in our usecase, its not so practical. in the old system we had some ids like 2635 in which every digit is a different category. very complex but if you get used to it, very handy.
so with limesurvey we need to make a new survey and then copy it so we can give our id, for every survey we create.

Which survey system did you use and why did you switch?
