Hi all, my company need to edit often a survey adding new questions based on answer trend or adding option at existing question. We do not delete any question for "legacy" and we have no "user" problem because data is inserted internally. The problem is that every time we need to change the survey we "lost" the possibility to make statistic with all the answer of every version.
I know that it seems like a non sense thing but if we can use the integrated statistic tool we do not have to export and rework data.
I hope that my answer is clear.
Thanks
Alessandro

Limesurvey is not offering a real adding of questions in a running survey. The are some limits in the concept of handling datatables.

Did you try to deactivate a survey, add a question and reimport answers via Limesurvey?

Yes : import for VV is a solution, but really , now : you can use Import from an deactivated respônse table.

In the top mùenu of browse response.

Best system
- Export lsa
- Export VV
- Deactivate
- Update survey
- Reactivate
- Go to "browse response"
- Look at menu "Import from an old response table"
- Import your old response
- Look if it's OK (in fact : i use it a lot , and each time : it's OK)

Yes, and just to expand on Denis' answer a bit - he is exporting LSA and VV as safety backups.

I have also had success with this method.

Thank you very much, I've tried the solution you suggest me and, obiouvsly, it works.
For the next time I should better read the guide.
I hope the crazy administrator wouldn't change too much time the questions.
Thanks again.
