Matrix with a Checkbox at the End? was created by StefanBasen
Hello everyone...im stuck on this one and maybe someone can help me out.

What i´ve tried to do is, i want a Matrix Question with a Checkbox at the End of every Question. So one of the Question is maybe: do you enjoy magazin X? And the Answers then are 1 - not so much,2,3,4,5, 6 - very much . Thats fine with a simple Matrix but i need a Checkbox at the End where the participants should mark their Favourite Magazin. So how can i do that? Or is there a easier Way to do it?

Thank you for the Help

There is a work around in the manual that shows how to put various questions in an array. However, I am not sure if it works with array questions.

And: Shouldn't you rather use radio buttons instead of check boxes if you are looking for the "favorite" magazine?

Radio Buttons? Thing is, they should say how they enjoy every individual Magazin but also ( thats why i need the Checkboxes or something else) rate their Top 3 of them.

I would do this in two different questions, not to confuse the respondent, I think.

I agree, from a respondent viewpoint 2 questions would be less confusing. (and if you do as you describe, you will need at least two questions anyway and manipulate them with javaScript)

OK, your original post was about "their favourite magazine", which to me sounds like one, thus the suggestion for radio buttons. If you want them to respond their favorite 3, then of course you'll need check boxes.

And I agree with tammo and tpartner, that this would be probably better split into 2 totally separate questions anyway.

I would do as following:
Question 1 (multiple choice question showing n magazine titles, from which maximum 3 may be chosen)
What are your favorite 3 magazines?

Question 2 (only showing the chosen magazines, some EM work to do!)
How would you rate these magazines on a schale of 1-5?
