Adding up numbers using Array (Numbers) was created by jawatroxion
Good day.
I was just wondering if it would be possible to add up numbers using the Array(numbers)?
I know that the results can be shown if I write an expression in the HELP or even QUESTION.
However, I would like the results to be displayed in one of the numeric inputs (normally, the bottom most one
as in the attached image).
In short, what I want to happen is that, once I've entered all the other input boxes, I want the box with the summed up
values to be updated with the actual sum from the other boxes (plz forgive my language as English is not my first language)
BTW, I've made that input box readonly using javascript.
I tried writing some expressions in the HELP and QUESTION parts... but to no avail.
Would appreciate any help as I am a newbie and Limesurvey is the first survey package that I've ever used.
Thanks in advance!!!

If you use an Array Texts instead of Array Numbers, in the advanced settings you can set it to "Numbers only" and display the totals.

Hi tpartner...
I tried using this option. However, somehow when I run the survey, it only allows me to enter decimal point numbers.
When I run the question individually (independent from its group, or individually without running the whole survey)... I can get to key
in integers. However, if run in the group (or the actual survey), I can only key in decimal point number (and it forces me to do so)
Do you have any idea what the problem is?
Thanks!

As Denis pointed out
in another post
, something else in the group may be interfering with it. Did you try placing that question in a group by itself?
