Is it possible for users to create accounts that can be reused to complete the same survey over a time period. Ideally the responses would be linked in some way.

E.g.
1. User accesses the survey via link
2. Registers
3. Completes Survey
4. Reminder sent 3 months later
5. Login using the same link
6. Completes Survey

Not automatically, but see "Iterate Survey" in the manual - manual.limesurvey.org/Iterate_Survey

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately users would be answering the same survey at different time points.
My best although not perfect solution is to not use tokens and then send the users emails with the same email etc prefilled.

Although I would much prefer a user account login approach if possible?

I do not think tokens would be the best fit as far as I know the user cannot login again using the same credentials as previously filled out to do the survey again at a later date? Would they not have to re-complete public registration?

Also the email invitation is unwanted although I believe this can be bypassed?

I was under the impression that the setting allowed them to complete the survey again but they would have to recomplete the registration information which is unwanted.

Hi,

They can enter in the survey with the link in email. But this don't disallow to register again.
Give a try to git.framasoft.org/SondagePro-LimeSurvey-plugin/replaceRegister

Not sure what happen with "Allow multiple responses or update responses with one token" but this can be fixed.
