I often get a timeout error when trying to login to the admin pages of my limesurvey environment (4.0.1)

Logs show this returning error

[Fri Jan 31 06:35:07.100473 2020] [fcgid:warn] [pid 6898:tid 140309082085120] [client 157.193.81.181:50471] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 40 seconds, referer: enquete.ugent.be/survey/index.php/admin/authentication/sa/login

if I try enough times, I eventually get in. Any ideas what is causing this? can I configure the timeout to be longer then 40 seconds? does the authenticationmodule of limesurvey access an external service that needs to be configured in the firewall of the server?

Maybe asset management ?

I have a longer connection part on a windows server : just at 1st user connextion. I think (but unsure) it's due to session file create . But less than 30 seconds …

40 seconds are longer that really need … do you have PHP error somewhere ?

Do you use a Controlpanel like Plesk on your hosting environment?
