stable version 2.73 was created by okkhalid
Hello, is there any download link from Limesurvey.org directly for the stable version 2.73?

I have installed one from gethub, and I got the following message when I click on comfortupdate:

Error!
No build version found!

It seems you're using a version coming from the LimeSurvey GitHub repository. You can't use ComfortUpdate.

Thanks,

The old links might be disabled because I tried old links below and they don't work.

something strange, I have downloaded from: www.limesurvey.org/downloads/category/24-archived-releases

I'm getting this error when try to install it:
Internal Server Error
Installation has been done already. Installer disabled.
An internal error occurred while the Web server was processing your request. Please contact the webmaster to report this problem.

It seems there are
no installation files in the installer folder.

Any idea where I can install this version complete files.

Thank you.

What file did you download. Exact filename or link.

Did you make a fresh installation? Or did you upgrade/overwrite an existing installation of LimeSurvey?

Any idea where I can install this version complete files.

I don't think the archived files are incomplete.
You might have a defect archive. Which could be damaged during the download or during extraction.
There is even a chance that the file on LimeSurvey.org is defect, but that can be checked.

Questions:
1. Exact filename
2. How did you extract the archive to install LimeSurvey.
3. Fresh installation or upgrade?

2. How did you extract the archive to install LimeSurvey.
locally I have tried to use winrare, winzip as well the extract option that comes with windows.

Also, I tried by upload the original file to my hosting server I have 2 hosting servers with 2 providers:
I used the hosting file manager extract option

3. Fresh installation or upgrade?
Fresh installation.

I would suggest to try it by yourself if possible to check if there are issues with the original file.

Thank you so much for helping.

Are you using a fresh database for the installation?
The archive file contains the files under installer.

The error message looks more like that you used credentials which are pointing to a database/table where the LimeSurvey installer finds data which shouldn't be there.
Could that be possible?

Again, I have uploaded to my server with a new database, and folder, also in my localhost, still getting the same issue on fresh install.

I'm not sure if the original file has some issues.

1. Your credentials to DB are most probably wrong
2. You can have more info by turning debug mode on (in config.php)

This error message is different to the first error message that you described.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Hi, the first error message was found in gethub platform, I used the get hub build to setup the version and it was successful installed and run ok but when I click on comfortupdate I see the error message.

Then I downloaded the same build and version from LimeSruvey server, and I got the message: Internal Server Error
CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection.

All my credential are good. this is an archived issue I think.

Try to test it by yourself and you will see. just download from this link: www.limesurvey.org/stable-release/file/2...19zip?tmpl=component

Extract the files in your server, and run it. immediately you will get the error: Internal Server Error
CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection.

I have figured out the issue: in the zip folder in the limesurvy Archive content already the file: config.php
This file should be removed in order to install. as this file will be created after the installation is done.

Because this file already exists in the archive folder, so the installation thinks that you already installed limesruvey.

Thank you again :)
