I was interested in making a ranking question, but rather than ranking items vertically I'd like to do this horizontally from left to right. Does anyone know a straightforward way to do this?

In LS3 you can create a question theme for Ranking Question:

github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/tree/master/themes/question

Before doing that, I would consider how it will work on mobile devices. As a rule, horizontal presentation is not a good thing for phones.
