Version 3.17.7+190627
Email question id: 373
Group: 4
Code: emails
Because using verification of emails in two Multiple short text fields, those entry points are emails_1 and emails_2.

The results are being saved in the limesurvey mysql database.

I need to send the confirmation and/or admin email to one of the values input into emails_1 or emails_2 (they are both the same as I'm using multiple short text fields for email input verification).

When testing using just "short free text" just using {emails} works, but I can't get this to work with "multiple short text."

NOTE: The participants database does not contain email addresses as we collect them only once the participant takes the survey - we do not have the email address beforehand (they receive the survey invitation via a postal letter, It's for seniors who don't have great computer skills).

Thank you

SOLVED: I went into the mysql table for the survey and used the identified for the email field I need to extract and send confirmation notice to which was something like a 14 digit number with X's between fields. Referencing that string inside brackets worked perfectly.

Is this safe? I remember reading somewhere that using these codes would be retired in version 4.

With a multiple short text having sub-question codes SQ001 and SQ002, you should be able to use:

Code:
{email_SQ001}

- manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager...#Access_to_variables
