change of color scheme not possible was created by mdiepost
Hi Folks,

I'm using Version 3.12.2+180625 and have the following issue:

I created a new survey with default design scheme. I played around changing the colo rset and suddenly it was not possible any more, to change the color of the default template.

Looking at the sources I see that whatever I try to change in Admin Frontend, black_pearl.css is loaded.

I already cleared the asset cache (5 times) but no effect.

Could someone please help where I am stuck?

Thanx in advance,

Mat

so first: please, when facing a bug, update first to latest version. It may have been already fixed.

Then: black_pearl.css is a bootstrap variation. So you can change it via the option "Theme Variation".

Remember you can set the option at 3 levels: Global (from theme list), Survey Group, and Survey level.
If you changed an option at survey level, then the changes made at global level have no more effect to this options. You must set it to "inherit" again if you want the setting of the parent to be applied.

I'd suggest you read this article:

thanx a lot for the quick reply.

I will go for an update and see if this will solve my issue.

However - the issue seemed to be related to only one special survey, where none of the changes to the "Theme Variation" I made (neither global, nor on survey group or on survey level) were possible.

I case others face such an issue:
I exported the survey and created a copy by re-importing. For the new survey any changes to the Theme were again possible as expected.
