We are wanting to use a calculation to determine the quota for a survey and I was wondering if this was possible?

1. Collect number of adults and children in household (see Q1 in attached)
2. Collect household income (see Q2 in attached)
3. Calculate a number based on Q1 answers (as below) and multiple that number by 23000 (see CALC in attached - to be hidden)
  • FIRST ADULT (1 ADULT) COUNTS AS 1
  • + 0.5 FOR ANY SUBSEQUENT ADULTS
  • + 0.3 FOR ANY CHILDREN
4. Screen out those whose household income (Q2) is lower than the calculated figure (CALC) - proposed to do this by using a single response question where a formula selects the appropriate option (see QUOTA in attached - to be hidden).

Is this possible? If so, how?

Hi mintau,
as you described in QUOTA.
Insert an equation (eqQUOTA) between CALC and QUOTA, where you set the value of QUOTA.

{QUOTA=if(Q2 < CALC,1,2)}
