Hi, I have exported my data but it seems I can only get the results 'by question'.


I want something different, for example:
I ask your age and if you eat breakfast.
I want to see in the results if tall people eat breakfast more than short people.
(Sorry if it's a bad example)

I don't just want to see the total answers, but I want to be able to compare questions/answers to different questions/answers.

If this possible in LimeSurvey?

Or, do I have to use something like this?

This sounds like something to be done in an analysis tool (SPSS, R, Excel...).

You can download the whole data set of collected answers as CSV or XLS. What are you currently trying and where are you "exporting" these responses?

you can do that. You saw that there is a response filter.

First you select the tall people, generate their results, and afterwards you select the small people.
I said, you can..., but a lot of work.

Analysis is done by SPSS, PSPP, R, EXCEL, OpenOffice, or, or...

Remember: LimeSurvey is a survey tool to collect data, not an analysing tool.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, it's my fault.

I thought it was only possible to export from the statistics screen:
.../admin/statistics/sa/index/surveyid/123456

I never found the real export results screen, and yes, it is possible to export a list of all individual responses:
.../admin/export/sa/exportresults/surveyid/123456

Before I realized this was possible, I used this python module:
github.com/ESchae/limesurveyrc2api

and it worked great to get my results by 'person', very convenient to get data using a python script!
