we forced https in GUI in presence of certificates on server but GUI of Lime Survey becomes inaccessible.
Lime Survey version is 3.4.2.

Have a look at this setting which should help you out by adding it to your config.php:

/*** @var $ssl_emergency_override boolean forces SSL off
* if You've turned HTTPS/SSL on in the global settings but your
* server doesn't have HTTPS enabled, the only way to turn it off is
* by changing a value in the database directly. This allows you to
* force HTTPS off while you change the global settings for Force Secure.

So add
"ssl_emergency_override'' => false;

to your config.php the same way as the debug param.

Many thanks for your help. We tried the above procedure and it did not work with us.

Details of our environment:
Operating System: Oracle Linux 6.8
Lime Survey version: 3.4.2

ssl_emergency_override'' => true;

Many thanks . GUI became working now. We need to let https be forced and harmonised with the certificate we have already in our apache.
