Hi all,

Is it possible to run two versions of LimeSurvey on the same server and keep them completely separate? I upgraded to version 2.50 (from 2.06+) when it first came out and all of my surveys became unusable because of formatting problems and odd usability errors. It was a nightmare and required one full day to return to 2.06. Before upgrading again, I would like to run a parallel version of LimeSurvey to ensure that everything works okay.

Thank you,
Rob

Of course this is possible, if your server allows it. I am doing this all the time. I usually don't upgrade to major new versions. I leave the old installation as is, install the new version under a different subfolder/subdomain and asign a completely new MySQL database to it. So both installations are completely independent.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
