unwanted characters in statistics was created by aga602006
Hi,
I have implemented a survey in Spanish.
Accented words in answers like "logró" o "bibliografía" are converted to "logró" or "bibliografía" after generating HTML report. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
However, if the output is in PDF, the characters are good.
Reviewing the corresponding table in the database with phpMyAdmin those characters are good.
I understand that the statistical report takes the texts from 3 sources:
1) The titles of the fields that are written to create the form (for example "Evaluation of the literature")
2) Text elements that depend on the variable type and are defined in limesurvey (eg "Option Account Percentage")
3) Free text fields written by the survey respondents.
Using Firefox,
in Unicode encoding: 1) and 2) look good and 3) looks bad.
with West encoding: 1) looks good and 2) and 3) are wrong.
Thanks in advance.
AGA.

Hola,
Gracias.
AGA

Please only English here and please do not crosspost.

You got some answers here already. You should decide where to post, or at least put a link to the other post. Otherwise people might answer the same thing in two different places, which is unnecessary.
