I don't know whether it is a bug or not. In "Array by column", My Version 2.05+ Build 140730 currently puts subquestions horizontally (on top from left to right) while the answers are listed vertically (side from top to bottom). See attached image.
I may be wrong. In my opinion, subquestions stay on the left side, listed from top to bottom, the answer options on top from left to right. There may be a setting that exchanges the axis of subquestions and answers. Can anyone direct me where to change this setting?

I have checked it again. There are no settings. So it is a bug.

It is not a bug. That's why the question type is called "array by column" - just switch to the normal 'array' question type.
