SMTP Connection Issue

Hi, I have configured the SMTP with SSL using Email setting option. I am getting the below error when sending the remainder notification

Error message: SMTP connect() failed. github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

Moved : not related to development

Else : look at your server log, maybe bad SSL. and try without ssl too, and set debugmail to always.
Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.
I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member, professional service on demand , plugin development .
