Hi,

I'm fairly new to Limesurvey, preparing my 1st survey and I am looking around the web for this feature. Basically is it possible to auto mark answers chosen on previous question where both questions use same list and are multi choice, actually 1st one is multi, but limited to one answer only.

q1
A <- checked
B
C
D

q2
A <- this subquestion to be checked automatically when question loads
B
C
D

Regards.

I am sure something can be done via Javascript.

But they could unmark this again, which might not what you want.

You could try the array exclusion filter, which should exclude from the second question all items marked in the first question. Depending on your actual questions, this could be an even better solution and is out of the box (of course, it might not be a solution for you).

Q1: What is the brand of your car?
A --> Checked
B
C
D

Q2: Which (other) car brands to you know?
A --> Hidden
B
C
D
