Hi, I've just started using LimeSurvey and wanted to know if it was possible to have a "list with comment" question where the comment is only available on selection of certain option.

Eg. What country are you located in?
[ ] USA
[ ] Canada
[ ] UK
[ ] Other, please specify.
<Textbox here>

I hope the question is clear.

Just use the normal list (radio) question type and include the "other" option. There will be automatically a text box just for "other".

If you want the text box only to show if other has been marked, then you need to add another question and hide it with a condition / relevance equation.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Thanks so much. That does help, however is there a way to have the other option not be a text field but a text box, so that the users can enter a paragraph of text?

Follow holch's advice - add a following long-text type question and use relevance to only show it if a certain option is selected in the first question.
