Notification email and attributes was created by Coolfugu
Hi!
First of all I'd like to say that I am more than impressed by LimeSurvey. It installed like a charm and in no time I have my first survey up and running :ohmy: Immediate application is to send out to our Clients a satisfaction report and have our Sales Rep acting on receipt of Client comments.
I use couple of attributes to track the Order Number, Job Description, Job date, etc... the tokens being generated from a SharePoint app and imported (CSV file) into LimeSurvey. Wowww fantastic!
Using those attributes works like a charm when sending the invitation email, but doesn't in the notification email It shows the words Attribute_1 Attribute_2 and so forth in a nice red/yellow box but not their value.
The survey is set to NOT anonymous as explained in the manual.
I am desperate to find a fix as without those Attributes values the Sales Rep will not be able to retrieve the file and act swiftly.
Of course one may say give them access to LimeSurvey and they can dig the info from the Token file but... hmmm I better not comment on our Sales Rep
A bunch of thanks in advance to those who will help me fixing this notification email issue.
Kind regards
Michel

It seems a bug, perhaps you should create a ticket in the bug tracker.

In emails, you can access tokens like this:
Code:
{TOKEN:ATTRIBUTE_1}

Thank you aesteban and tpartner for your support.
Trying Tpartner tip didn't help at first... BUT being a bit stubborn and knowing that sometimes software behave a bit funny (I am not a programmer at all) I wondered if this problem could be related either to the language (this survey runs in French) or the field definition or both...
Here is the solution :
To have your attributes printed in the notification email you must :
- 1 : use Tpartner recommended syntax {TOKEN:ATTRIBUTE_1}(and not pickup the attribute from the dropdown list
AND
- 2 : Leave the field description blank and fill the field caption
This strange behavior seems to be a bug as Aesteban suggested so I am going to submit a ticket...
In the meantime the fix above solved my problem and makes me happy Hopefully it will help others...
Thank you
Michel
--> @Tpartner YES I will definitely donate
