quick edit of survey texts elements (groups, questions, options answers...) was created by bebs
Hello,
I'd like to be able to quickly edit the textual elements of my survey easily... similarly to what is possible for a secondary language using the "quick translation" view, but for the main language.
Is it possible to, for instance, enable edition of the text elements in the "quick translation" view for the base language (typically english) elements?
Why? just because I discovered I made a systematic spelling error in most of my questions and hate the idea of needing 6 clicks to correct every single of them. (and no, export-correct-import won't do, this time at least).
thanks!

An equivalent feature already exists - the
"Excel" (TSV) survey export
.
Simply do the following:
(1) Export the survey in TSV format
(2) Open in Excel (launch Excel, select open the .tsv file, and tell Excel that it is UTF-8 format when you open it - double clicking the file name seldom works).
(3) Make all of your edits. You can use Excel's find/replace if desired
(4) Save the file in the original format
(5) Import the TSV file back into LimeSurvey. This will create a new copy of your survey.
You can use this approach to make as many bulk changes as you want, including re-arranging questions, adding/deleting/editing them, or even adding/reviewing translations.

@TMSWhite: export+correct+import will not do this time, as the survey is active, invitations sent, and import will create a new one (ie change its id, and thereby url), but you're right in describing an efficient way to do it when the survey is still not active.
