Filter the column of an array question was created by fredieby
Can I use array filter to filter the column of an array question?

Grateful if someone can help me.

Unfortunately that's not possible. Can you give more details on what you would like to accomplish?

Cheers,

Thank you for your reply!

For example:

Q1 Please choose the letter(s) you like

A
B
C

Q2 Please evaluate the letter(s) chosen in Q1 on the following:

A B C
Most attractive
Is Best
Will never use

That kind of question you see? Can you help me out?

Cheers,
Fred

Well, as far as I see it, you have two options:

1. You put the letters not in the column, but as responses. At the end of the day, the result is the same and you can filter it.

2. There is question type, where you can switch the display of column and lines, can't remember the name. Something like array by column, or something.

But to be honest I think the first version is the best and actually makes the most sense. "Most attractive", etc. should be as columns, as it is the scale in my opinion.

I agree with Holch.

You could achieve exactly what you want with JavaScript and/or CSS but why re-invent the wheel?

I would go with a standard array and filter.

Thanks guys.

The only thing is that I have long attributes and displaying them in column is not really convenient for reading.

Moreover the array by column doesn't provide the array filter option.

Fred

Yes, you are right. I checked it and the array filter is not available for 'array by column'.

Fred, are the questions on the same page or separate pages?

Never mind that last question.

I've developed a workaround to filter an "Array by Column" question by the answers from a previous "Multiple Options" question. The multi-options question can be on the same page or a previous page.
