Hello!

I'm trying to randomly assign 2 sound files with the voice of 1 of 4 people and 1 of 2 conditions, without repeating voice or condition. In order to do that, I created a question that selects and saves a number from 1 to 4 at random and another that selects either 1 or 2. Then, I created another question that comes up with the corresponding soundfile name for the first file and another for the second. I know this is incredibly inefficient, but it works.

Here is the problem: as soon as I hide the questions, everything breaks down and it stops saving the default answers. Any idea why?

I know this is an issue that arose with old versions of LimeSurvey and was fixed with a patch, so hopefully I'm making a mistake and there's an easy fix.

I attached the .lss file so you can see the program.

Thanks!!!

You probably hide the question via the backend, which will prevent the question from being shown at all which will not allow any calculations.

You should hide the question via Javascript or CSS.

I tried that, but it still shows the empty page with the next button. Is there any way I can remove this?

Thank you!!!

Does this at least solve your problem?

You would have to put the question on a page with another question (group by group mode) and hide it from there.

I originally had my survey set to question by question so I changed it to group by group and did that.

Thank you so much!!!
