Participant management? Tokens? was created by bbacke
Hi, I was just wondering if the experienced users can point me in the right direction.
I am designing a feedback form:
we have about 10 teachers and 15 students.
Each teacher has to fill in a feedback form for each student.

The ideal solution would be, if each teacher would have a log in, where he can select the student and provide a feedback, also he could see which feedbacks he has given and could edit them.
I believe this is not possible with Lime survey. Or is it? How would I do this?

I have tried to do it similar with tokens. So I would create 15 tokens for each teacher and set a different 'student' attribute for each token (laborious). While this seems to work, if I send out the invitations for the survey, each teacher would receive one email for each token, which clearly is not acceptable. Is there an easy way to send 15 -or more- tokens in a single email?

Thank you.

HI,

With the token solution : maybe you can do yourown token code:
Example:
complicatedX01
complicatedX02
complicatedX03
complicatedX04
complicatedX05
complicatedX06
complicatedX07
...
Don't put the email of the teacher in it.

Add a complicated token code , and in the email: use something like this:
Code:
<ul>
<li><a href="http://yoururl.example.com/surveyid/{SID}/token/{TOKEN}X01/newtest/Y">1st student : yoururl.example.com/surveyid/{SID}/token/{TOKEN}X01</a></li><li><a href="http://yoururl.example.com/surveyid/{SID}/token/{TOKEN}X01">1st student : yoururl.example.com/surveyid/{SID}/token/{TOKEN}X01</a></li>
<li><a href="http://yoururl.example.com/surveyid/{SID}/token/{TOKEN}X02/newtest/Y">2nd student : yoururl.example.com/surveyid/{SID}/token/{TOKEN}X02</a></li>
...
</ul>

Set the survey not anonymous + allow edit completed answers + answer token persitance to Y

Thank you.
Nice workaround... :)
It just would be a lot of work to set it up (currently it would be about 1000 tokens 4 times a year)
And I am not sure if the secretary would be happy to do this.

Well, may be I can create the tokens in something like excel and import them? Still probably too many steps to give the work to someone else.

Yes, you can create tokens in excel, esport them to CSV and import them. Have a look at the manual, it is explained there.

You can even send the tokens on your own. You don't need to send it via de Limesurvey email system.

But to be hones, I don't see a big deal to send one email per student. It makes things pretty clear and separates the answers the teacher can give pretty well.
