Can Limesurvey be edited in WordPress? I saw a few posts about a plug-in but wasn't sure if this was an option or not.

thanks,

rob

What do you mean with "edited" in Wordpress? Why would you want to edit Limesurvey in Wordpress? These are two different pieces of software with different approaches and goals.

Or do you mean integrate both? Having a joint user base?

It would be good if you could explain a little bit what you are trying to do. Then we might be able to say if it is possible or not and what is necessary.

Yes, integration is what I'm after. How can I use both together. Sounded like from other posts that there was a plug-in of some sort.

The wordpress plugin is called SurveyPress and is no longer updated.
It used the API of Limesurvey to integrate wordpress with Limesurvey.

It is still the only plugin with a limesurvey tag on wordpress.

Not sure what it actually does and if it covers what you need, but I thought I post the link anyway.

If I want to integrate my wordpress header and footer to my limesurvey page, what's the best way to go about doing that?

thanks,

rob

1. Recreate the header and footer in the Limesurvey template system
2. Use Limesurvey in an Iframe within Wordpress

Two solutions, depends a little on how you want to use the survey (2. doesn't work if you invite people via an individual link / tokens.

The survey is set as open but we are using tokens to capture name and email address.

Which files, and which areas in the files do I need to edit on my copied template?

thanks,

rob

If you use tokens, then I don't think it is possible to use the iframe solution.

Have a look at the template structure.
manual.limesurvey.org/The_template_edito...ure_.2F_Template_Use
It depends a little on the template that you will be using as a base, but I think startpage.pstpl and endpage.pstpl should be the right places in most cases.

Yes, I saw that link as I was researching possible solutions. One of the issues I think I'm having is my copied template does not seem to be acting as the default, even though I've changed it to default in the "Survey Properties/General Settings" area.

even though I've changed it to default in the "Survey Properties/General Settings" area

This need to be set in Global settings --> General --> Default template.
