You can make question non-mandatory from question settings . This question property can not be changed using js. Please elaborate what exactly the problem you are facing. We can suggest some workaround.

it reminds me a quiet old feature request (can't find the link): a new survey setting to switch all questions to 'not mandatory', useful when testing the survey....

Hello everyone.
Thank you for your help. I think OMdev answered my question.
I took a Tpartner solution here: Filter by column

Some columns will be hidden, but still mandatory.
I wish the hidden columns was not mandatory.

Thanks.

In this case the only way is to make question non-mandatory from its setting and validation using javascript . This javascript validation will work on click of next button. I guess Tpartner js should work perfectly.

Hi,

Using manual.limesurvey.org/Question_type_-_Ar...28em_validation_q.29 you can set some part to mandatory, and some other to not mandatory.

An alternative would be to add a "Not Applicable" option and modify the workaround to hide those and click them if the column is hidden. I'm not in a position to give the code for that today but searching the forum and workarounds should yield similar solutions for normal array questions.

Something like this - www.limesurvey.org/en/forum/search?query...r&childforums=1&ids=
