TFR Responsive LimeSurvey template is a Bootstrap based, mobile optimised template for use in LimeSurvey installations. There is a free version and a Premium version. The free version is branded and has no responsive tables. The Premium version is ready for your own branding and has responsive tables.

People already using this template will be glad to hear that we ironed out some bugs and introduced some features. People not (yet) using this template are invited to do so!

This release 1.5.1 show some bug fixes and some enhancements:
  • input width on short text questions: now 100% on mobile devices and user setting on larger screens
  • introduction of retina.js, so images will use [image-title]@2x.png and [image-title]@3x.png when available, so images may look good on retina displays too.
  • enter by keyboard made user go to previous page on some browsers. Now "enter" does not do anything, but trigger the "change"
  • there was a difference in styling of the top of the page between single language and multi-language surveys. That is not there anymore
  • Text-display questions now only show the help-text area, when there is something to show in the help-text area.
  • date selects now show text in correct color (was green)
  • the style.css file has shrunk from ~260 kB to 133 kB
  • re-styling of datepicker and filepicker (jQuery)
  • IMPORTANT: load fonts from local server again (see below)

Important for people that use the LimeSurvey Template Editor for uploading templates.
Until version LimeSurvey 2.05 font files that are present in the template could not be uploaded to the limesurvey installation by default. So if you have a LimeSurvey installation that uses software from before June 16, 2015, your template will possibly not upload the font files, which will result in missing icons.

There are three possible solutions to this problem:
  1. upgrade your Limesurvey installation to a version that is newer than June 16, 2015
  2. in your configuration file of LimeSurvey, that resides in: /application/config/config-defaults.php you have to change the line that starts with: $config = into: $config = 'gif,ico,jpg,png,css,js,map,json,eot,svg,ttf,woff,txt,MD';
  3. or upload the template using FTP to: /upload/templates resulting in all template files to sit in: /upload/templates/tfr-responsive

You can find the template at:
If you find bug, please report them here or on out Github Page at: github.com/toolsforresearch/tfr_responsive/issues
