Copy survey inclusive pictures was created by mariaa
Hi all,

I tried to copy a survey. Everything is working exept of the pictures. I had many questions and answer options that included pictures. None of these is displayed in the new survey. Is there any easy options to change the settings so that the pictures are copied, too?

Thanks a lot for your answers!

Hi, maria,

you can export your images as *.zip and import into your new survey.

Is there a technical reason, why there isn't a "archive" export/import which covers everything from images to responses?

The meaning of the word "stable" for users

2 reason
1. It take time to dev
2. You can have really big files in survey files, and in general this files don't compress (the current archive contains xml, csv compress a lot).

But i think there are a feature request to have a «complete» archive when copying.

I didn´t know before that there is a possibility of requesting features.

Yes, you can request features. If the will be implemented is a totally different story. There are many very useful feature requests that have not been implemented for years now. The last couple of releases have focused more in the rewrite of LS and to change the way it is displayed, rather than implementing new features. Let's see what will happen with LS 4 and I will get new features or if it is again a version that optimizes/changes what is already there or if there will be new base features.

Just to be clear : there are many existing feature existing and seesm no user use it because feature can be broken for month before we have a bug report…

Yes, because rewriting allow to easily add new feature without broke existing feature : more stability, code more robust :)
