Automatic reminder not working (initial emails work fine!)

Hello.

For some reason the "automatic reminder" feature of Limesurvey doesn't seem to be sending the messages, or even attempting to.

I can send the invitation emails just fine. And when I setup an automated reminder email, that message also gets sent.

However, I enter in like "6" for max reminders with "2" Minimum days between reminders.

The counter in the participant table shows only "1" for the amount of reminders sent. Even though it should have sent several over the last few weeks. I have tried this out on 3 different surveys, and all the same results.

I am thinking there is supposed to be an automated script or something that's not running in the background?

Any ideas how to fix?

there is no way in PHP to run automated script in the background. It must be done on your server via a cronjob calling the script.

Where did you find the "automatic reminder" feature. As far as I know, that is not part of core LimeSurvey.

Turns out it isnt.... the maxium reminders, and min days between email notices is just when you manually send reminders.

This seems like it should be a feature though... I have 4-5 different surevys going on at once with different due dates. Should be able to automate this.

Should be able to automate this.

Then submit a feature request or develop it yourself and submit a pull request.
