Integrate Limesurvey in our software vs using it as an external website was created by CarloNutal
Hi there, new to all of this, but I am responsible for the development of a surveytaking piece in our institutes administrative software. I am a developer but I also have been a teacher for 10 years in secondary school and only worked on microsoft stuff...
I've started drawing up ideas but I'm very positively focusing on integrating LimeSurvey - why invent the wheel all over again, right.
The way we would use this is double
* taking surveys, both anonymous and not, directed at our students (logged in) and possible students (not logged in)
* taking tests - mainly as a way to make out their entry level in language courses
I have come to the conclusion both are possible in LimeSurvey
However the problem:
My boss wants me to integrate it into our own custom built php platform. Is that possible? I mean - I can just grab the software and put it into our system and invoke the classes and functions, but is there a general way?
They want the total look and feel and operation integrated in our in house software
I hope I'm making myself clear
Thanks for your thoughts

whatever. You should use the Remote Control APi:
manual.limesurvey.org/RemoteControl_2_API
If you're using LimeSurvey in a professional context, remember that donations are always welcomed.

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

Hi, Carlo,
assuming you want to integrate the survey part, well, the IMHO easiest way is to use "iframes". See attached screenshot.
Of course you have to adapt the template to your needs.
If you want to integrate the whole admin process, that's something different and beyond my skills.
Best regards
Joffm

Thank you for your reply Joffm
Do you think it is possible to do the same with the admin-part of LS?

Hi, Carlo,
I just tried it and it seems to work. (see screenshot)
The iframe is inserted as responsive bootstrap
Here you have all the templates (called themes) in the "styles"-folder.
If you like to do it change, create new ones, or whatever you want, to fulfill the wishes of anybody in your company.
Best regards
